Description: Ganesha is worshipped before starting anything new as it believed to be auspicious. Ganapati is worshipped in the Ganesha Festival or Ganesh Chaturthi which takes place in the month of August or September. Lord Ganapati is very fond of 'modaks' and it is given as a prasad to everyone who visit temples.
